Meaning
|
Transmit
Cells Per Sec
|
The speed at
which you are currently transmitting data in ATM cells per second.
For reference, every ATM cell is 53 bytes in length. This includes
48 bytes of user data or pad and 5 bytes of protocol header. This
value will constantly fluctuate as you transmit and receive data
and may be even be 0.
|
Receive Cells
Per Sec
|
The speed at
which you are currently receiving data in ATM cells per second.
For reference, every ATM cell is 53 bytes in length. This includes
48 bytes of user data or pad and 5 bytes of protocol header. This
value will constantly fluctuate as you transmit and receive data
and may be even be 0.
|
Transmit
Bits Per Sec
|
The speed at
which you are currently transmitting data in bits per second. This
value will constantly fluctuate as you transmit and receive data
and may be even be 0.
|
Receive Bits
Per Sec
|
The speed at
which you are currently receiving data in bits per second. This
value will constantly fluctuate as you transmit and receive data
and may be even be 0.
|
Transmitted
Cells
|
The total count
of cells transmitted by the modem.
|
Received
Cells
|
The total count
of cells received by the modem.
|
Dropped
Cells |
The total count
of cells dropped, for various reasons by the modem and therefore not
processed. IN general, this count will increment in conjunction with
CRC errors, as we are discarding cells due to one of those two errors.
If HEC errors occur, this count is not incremented in conjunction
with that count. |
HEC
Cells or HEC Errors |
The number of
cells received with "Header Error Control" errors. This is a count
of cells received in which the CRC for the ATM header was not successful. |
Unassigned
VPI/VCI |
The total number
of cells being received for a VC other than the one configured for
the modem. In general, this value should be zero. If you see this
value incrementing, and the modem is not sending or receiving data,
then the VC configured at the DSLAM does not match the one currently
being used by the card. These values must match for the modem to operate. |
Transmitted
Frames |
The total number
of AAL5 frame transmitted by the modem. |
Received
Frames |
The total number
of AAL5 frame received by the modem. |
Total
Errors |
The total number
of errors that have occurred on the modem. |
CRC
Errors |
The total number
of CRC errors for the AAL 5 frames. This value in general should be
zero but it is acceptable for the line to occasionally draw CRC errors.
In general, the further you are from the DSLAM and the line mode (Fast
path or Interleaved) will determine how many errors you may see here. |
Oversized
PDUs |
The number of
AAL5 frames received that were "to large" to be processed by the modem. |
Transmitted
Cells |
The total count
of cells transmitted by the modem. |
Received
Cells |
The total count
of cells received by the modem. |
