Starting a Test

You can start a test by either

  • clicking the appropriate button in the “Start” window or
  • selecting the test from the “Practice” menu.

It is possible for the “Start” window not be visible, because

  • a test is currently running or
  • you have closed the window manually.

Please use the “Practice” menu in that case.

When starting a test, you can first see a window in which you can select the single “items” of that test (i.e. intervals, chords, etc.) which you would like to practice. You need to select at least one item to start the test.

Tip:
To select several items at once, just click and drag as in the Finder. You need to click outside an item and drag a rectangular region across the items you would like to select.

You can also set the range of notes you would like to hear. That way you can avoid (or prefer) very high or very low notes.
