How do I import external data?
External registration information can be imported in to LicenseKeeper from three sources: Text Files, LicenseKeeper XML Exports, and Yojimbo.
Many third-party applications have the ability to export your data to plain-text files containing delimited values. LicenseKeeper can import these text files through the Import External Data... sheet.

How to import a text file:
- Open the Import option under the File menu.
- Choose External Data...
- Select the Text Import tab.
- Choose a text file to import.
LicenseKeeper will display a sample of the import file in the table, parsed according to the settings in the sheet. - Select the appropriate record or row delimiter and field delimiter.
LicenseKeeper will redisplay the sample formatted according to the new settings. - Select the remaining options and verify that the import values look correct.
- Map each Import Field to the appropriate Import As destination field.
- Click the Import button.
- Review the imported data
- Optionally undo the import if you are unhappy with the results using Undo under the Edit main menu.
