The software is delivered as a disk image file "NCP_Secure_Entry_Mac_Client_vXXX_YYY.dmg", where XXX=release number and YYY=build number

Open the disk image file by double clicking it. The file contains the installing and uninstalling packages.

Click on the installation package NCP Secure Entry Client.pkg" to start an installation assistant which guides you through the installation configuration steps of agreeing(/disagreeing) to the license terms and using either the default installation location or a location of your choice.

In order to copy the software to your hard disk, you must have administrator rights. Please enter password and user ID of the administrator when prompted to do so.

After installation, start the monitor of NCP's Secure Entry Client from the program directory. This first step automatically opens the "Configuration Assistant".

The "Configuration Assistant" helps you to creates a profile for an IPsec test connection and saves with the name "Test Connection IPsec Native". The profile will contain the following access data by default:

Software Activation

The software must be either activated or de-installed at the latest when the test phase has expired.

The time remaining until software activation, i.e. the validity period of the test version, is displayed in the message bar of the monitor next to the activation button.

In order to convert the installation to a full version with no time limitations, use the activation dialogue to activate the software with the license key and the serial number received.

Activation means the acceptance of license conditions that you can view in the activation dialog after clicking on the appropriate button.

The activation dialog can be opened using the activation button in the message bar of the monitor, as well as using the monitor menu "Help / License Data and Activation". The license data can be entered either online or offline.

In the offline variant, the file generated after entering the license key and serial number must be sent to the NCP authentication server. The resulting activation key displayed on the web page must be copied and entered in the licensing window of the Monitor menu in order to fully activate the software. This can be done at a later time but the software remains a test version until entry of the activation key.

In the online variant, the activation assistant forwards the licensing data to the web server immediately after entry and, on successful response from the server, the software is activated immediately.
