2. Installation

Copy all of the files in the zip file to a directory on your harddrive, and then to run the program, simple double click on "planets.exe". To create a shortcut on the desktop, click and drag the planets.exe icon to the desktop using the right-hand mouse button, and select "Create Shortcut...".

3. Instructions

There are two modes of operation - one is for exploring the solar system - if you click on a planet you are told it's name. If you click on it's name, information on that planet will come up. The other mode is test mode. If you press "Start Test", a green circle will cover up each planet in turn and you can type the name of the planet. Bad spelling is ignored (except really bad spelling). After typing the name, hit enter and you will be told if it's right or not.

4. Hints and Names

The hints button allows the user to toggle hints on and off, the hints are defined in the file "acronyms.txt". The names of the planets are toggled on and off using the names button. To change the current set of hints, use the button at the bottom.
