The Image Collector is an application that allows the quick and easy downloading, viewing, and categorisation of images to disk or another storage medium with the minimum of fuss.

This documentation will show you have to use The Image Collector (simply referred to as TIC from this point onwards) to its full potential so you can get the most out of it.

Before getting into how TIC works, there a few terms that are used in the application that are detailed below.

Service

A service is a plugin that provides image fetching abilities for a particular website. For example, the Service.Flickr plugin service tells TIC how to get images from the Flickr site.

Item

An item is a thumbnail of an image that appears in the large view area within the main TIC window. It provides a quick at-a-glance preview of the full-sized image.

Category

A category is a location (typically a directory, on disk) that items are downloaded into.
